Back To School

So my youngest is starting school next Friday. Yay! She is so excited to be going to Pre-K. So I am getting ready for the new school year.

I came up with a checklist of what I need to get done and i have a week to get it done. So here it...

Organize her closet
Organize her bedroom
Designate a "school information center"
Set up a bedtime and morning routine
Set up a binder for her

I will blog about my projects and what ideas I come up with for getting my daughter ready to get back to school. She has to get on her bus pretty early and then my husband has to go to work after she leaves so I am going to be pretty busy. So I am trying to find ways of making the mornings as smooth as possible since I am not a morning person.

Starting A Daily Cleaning Routine

I have made up a daily cleaning routine and I have been using it for about 2 weeks now. It has been working so far. I am not the cleanest person obviously. I am still battling at housework. The daily cleaning routine has helped me keep the house in order since we moved in. We just recently moved into a bigger house we were living in a 2 bedroom apartment and now we have a 3 bedroom house so it is alot more room and alot more cleaning. With the routines I created I can stay on top of the things that need to be done. I have 2 kids and I find that if I do this every day that my life is a lot more better and the family has been alot more stress free. I seen a change in attitude in not just myself but my girls and husband.

Even when I skip a day I don't get overwhelmed cause as long as I keep up on most days it still stays pretty clean and presentable. I am so amazed that I do not have to hurry up and clean the whole house or be embarrassed when someone comes over. I hope that this keeps up it has been working really good for me so far.

My cleaning routine is:

Make beds
Clean toilet and wipe down sink and mirror
Pick up bathroom
Do dishes
Pick up kitchen
Clear and wipe off stove, counters and microwave
Wipe sink out
Clean up living room
Straighten nightstand
Take out trash
Empty dehumidifier
Pick up toy room
Straighten Raena's room
Laundry

Do you have a daily cleaning routine?

Playroom Organized

I tackled the playroom yesterday. It was the worst room in the house. Since that was the room where we kinda shoved everything that didn't have a place when we were moving. So I decided to go ahead and get it done since all the sudden I have like a butt load of energy. I wanted a little room just for Raena to play and let her imagination go wild. She has a very good imagination. I was so grateful that my best friend came over and helped me and we got it done in like 4 hours. It was a long day. Well she had her boys here as well so little pit stops were much needed in between.

We literally went through every toy and toss what was broken and trash. Then organized the toys into categories and then we put everything into stations. Like all the books together, baby dolls and accessories together, her balls together and so on.

So here is the pictures. Sorry I forgot to get the Before shots before we moved everything. So just imagine the things in my kitchen was crammed in the room.

Now here is the playroom after we organized it....

This would be her kitchen set and grocery store center

Dollhouse section and in the pink container is all the stuff for her dollhouse

This holds various stuff from her coloring book and crayons to little action figures

Table and chairs

This is one of her closets which just has shelves
Top Shelf: Has some container I didn't use
Second shelf: Stuffed animals
Third shelf: Blocks, stuffed animals, Doctor kits and balls
Last shelf: Books and puzzles
Floor: Baby dolls and accessories
Bag on the door is all the pretties as I call them their is bracelets, toy hair stuff like a toy straighten and blow dryer, sunglasses and etc.

Her pretty handbags that I hung up behind her door
